Jim & Alex
The first time I met Jim and Alex was the night before their elopement when they picked me up from the train station at Kyle of Localsh. By the time we got back to their rented house it was like we were old friends. They had come all the way from New Zealand to get married in this wild and remote part of the world. There’s something just so romantic about elopements, you can focus wholly on the two of you. The ceremony was held on the cliff top of Neist Point Celebrant Gwen had travelled from Glasgow and looked lovely in her kilt and hiking boots. After the ceremony the three of us explored the breath-taking landscape, meeting Highland Cows, running down hills to the rocky coast line and sitting amongst purple Scottish heather. We finished the day watching the sunset while eating fish and chips in pastel Portree. Such a simple, perfect day.
