Thanks for coming and checking out my work. I love shooting weddings and have been doing so for over a decade across New Zealand, the UK, and Europe. It is a privilege to bear witness to these insanely special and unique celebrations. Amongst all the noise of modern life and technology I get to create memories and keepsakes that you, your family, and your friends will look back on for generations to come. Alongside my wedding work I shoot documentary portraiture, fashion and still life (which you can check out here) which informs the editorial way I shoot weddings. I want to create art for you!
If you are after a wedding film as well, I work with my husband, film maker Ryan Fielding. His style is wonderfully rhythmic and intuitive. He shoots primarily on super8mm film for a timeless quality. We work seamlessly together ensuring we get the best frames and angles of every part of your day. Like me he does lots of other work - music videos, fashion and commercials. Being grounded in many creative areas keeps us fresh and not reliant on current wedding trends and tropes.
I have been shooting film and digital hybrid weddings since 2016, analogue photography is my first love. As I use film for all my personal work it’s as natural as breathing. Shooting on a range of different analogue formats, 35mm and 120mm, creates a beautiful kaleidoscope of imagery which you will see when you look through my galleries. I think it both contrasts and compliments the cleaner digital images. Absolutely nothing beats the colour, texture and richness of film, and the unexpected happy surprises when getting the film back.
My style is unobtrusive with some gentle direction. Drawing on cinematic, fashion and documentary influences. Working with natural light and movement for their dreamlike qualities, I just want to capture you in your happy loved up state! Huge grins, happy tears, spontaneous dancing, the way the light hits those flowers, champagne sparkling in the sun, bear hugs, a knowing look, deep golden summer evenings and dusky candlelit kisses.
