Nadine and Tim are from Sydney, living in London and Ibiza is their spiritual home. They chose to have their destination wedding at Las Cicadas a 500 year old restored finca, which is now an artist residency and boutique accommodation. The day before all the guests hung out on a catamaran, sailing around the island and swimming in the sparkling Balearic Sea. It was a wonderful way for the guests from different parts of their lives get to know each other
They knew the August weather in Ibiza would be sizzling hot so asked all their guests to wear white and light shades to help combat the heat. The effect was dazzling. Of course the bride and groom both wore white too. Nadine repurposed her Mum's original vintage lace mini wedding dress - one of the coolest wedding dresses I've ever seen, and she had a long skirt custom made to wear over it for the ceremony, then whipped that off for the party afterwards.
Instead of flowers the tables were laden with bowls of glossy purple aubergine and deep red tomatoes. The dinner went late into the night punctuated by an impromptu A Capella opera performance by one of their guests. The dinner was all vegetarian and went long into the night followed by a flamenco performance and dancing in the courtyard.
Later on the bride, groom and willing guests partied until the wee hours at super club Amnesia. A wild end to a perfect day!
